Patagonia Refugio 26 and 30 Daypack Review (2022)

Review of The 2022 Patagonia Refugio Daypack which is now available in a 26L and 30L size. There are some differences in features between the two bags and design updates from the previous generation of the Refugio that I am unsure about, but overall the bags still offer a solid build quality and plenty of space.

Pros:

• Durable recycled fabric that is also fairly lightweight
• Simple layout provides surprising amount of space
• Breathable straps and back panel
• Removable laptop sleeve offers good padding

Cons:

• Loses some of the organizational options provided in the prior version
• Laptop sleeve can be cumbersome to use
• Inconsistency between features on two sizes can make it tricky to decide which to buy
