Located in the Caribbean, Saint Lucia is an incredible little island that allows you to vacation like a millionaire without completely breaking the bank. Izabella and I came across this gem while planning our honeymoon for May of 2016. The island itself is gorgeous, offering many of the sites you would expect from a beach paradise: waterfalls, white sand beaches with crystal clear water, friendly locals, and delicious food. However, what really sealed the deal was the possibility of staying at one of the islands luxurious resorts offering something we had never come across before, open wall suites. What this means is that the room is essentially missing one of its walls, providing an incredible view of the mountains, the ocean, and some incredible sunsets. There are two resorts that really stood out on the island: Jade Mountain and Ladera. Both looked amazing, but Ladera offered more affordable prices without sacrificing quality. Ladera itself offers many tiers of rooms and being on a bit of a budget after paying for a large portion of the wedding ourselves we decided to go ahead and take the entry tier: the Grons Piton Suite. I will let the video walkthrough do most of the talking, but I will say that the room was fantastic and I cannot even imagine what the next few tiers of rooms could offer if this was just the "lowest" tier. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we sincerely hope to come back in the future to hopefully see more of the rooms this wonderful resort has to offer.
