Goruck x Carryology Kaidan Capsule (GR2, Bullet Ruck, Field Pocket) Review

Review of the Goruck x Carryology Kaidan Capsule Collection which is meant to be an ideal setup for minimalist travel. The collection includes the Goruck GR2 34L as the main travel bag, a 15 bullet ruck as a packable and capable daily bag once arriving at your destination, and the GR2 field pocket to be used as a tech organizer or Dopp kit. Each of these items is capable on their own, but as part of the collaboration with Carryology they have received some interesting upgrades to make them even more versatile. The price tag isn’t for the faint of heart and it may be hard to purchase these after the initial drop, but there is a lot to like here!

Pros:

• XPAC fabric offers great weather resistance and weight savings
• Aquaguard zippers offer great protection and work smoothly
• Bullet ruck is able to hold an impressive amount for its slimmer form factor

Cons:

• Pricing will be high for most and the collection is not easy to find
• Flap on GR2 front pocket makes zipper hard to open
• Bullet Ruck does not offer padded laptop sleeve
• GR2 Field pocket can take up a heft amount of space
