Goruck Packs Compared: Bullet vs GR1 vs GR2

3/6/2023

Goruck has an awesome variety of bags regardless of whether you are looking to travel with one bag, adventure into the outdoors, or are just looking for a new everyday backpack. In this video, we will be doing an overview of the similarities and differences between the Bullet Ruck, GR1 (Heritage and Classic), and GR2 (Heritage, Classic, Slick) to help you find the bag that best fits your needs.

Summary:

  • Rucker: Best for people who intend to use their bags for rucking and don't need a laptop compartment
  • Bullet Ruck: More compact everyday bag for people with smaller frames, have a more minimal carry, or need something to pack into a larger travel backpack
  • GR1: Great all around everyday bag with a little more space than the Bullet and offered in 21L (recommended for people under 6 ft or who need to carry less) and 26L (for people over 6 ft and it as the same height as the GR2 34L)
  • GR2: Has more organization and space than the GR1 as it includes a dual clamshell layout and built in field pocket. Offered in 26L (still usable for edc but enough space for minimal travel), 34L (great for one bag travel and compliant on most domestic and international airlines), and 40L sizes (provides a good amount more space than the 34L and carry on compliant for a variety of airlines)
  • Heritage: Provides a more classic and work friendly aesthetic with waxed canvas / leather instead of cordura nylon (does not include molle webbing on the exterior so a cleaner look with reduced configurability)
