Favorite Gear for Working from Home

With all the crazy things going on in the world right now, there are many people who may currently find themselves working from home or remotely for the first time. If you are on among that fortunate group and are looking to get a few essentials to make your work from home experience a little more effective and comfortable then check out our list which covers some of the items that I have enjoyed using a lot while working outside of a traditional office.

Ergonomics

One of my biggest concerns while working from home is making sure that I keep my body healthy and comfortable. I have been working with a standing desk for many years now and although there are now some affordable options, I have never purchased one for my home. Instead, I use my Levit8 portable standing desk to move around my house and have a quick standing solution. If standing isn't your thing, I would recommend something like the Nexstand to elevate your laptop to a level where you are not straining your neck all day.

Tech

Technology is a huge reason that so many are now able to work remotely and below I have included a few of the essentials that help me with my work.
  • Apple AirPods Pro / Beats Studio Wireless
  • Apple Magic Mouse and Keyboard
  • HP External Monitor
  • Apple Touchbar Macbook Pro
  • Samsung T5 SSD
  • USB-C Dongle
  • USB-C Charging Hub

Organization

Even when staying at home there is something nice about a neat work space and everything having its place. On top of that, I am currently sharing the home office with my wife so many times I will move around the house and so I have found ti super helpful to keep all of my accessories organized in a variety of pouches (check out some of my favorites) and then I still love having a bag (Aer Day Pack 2 is my current go to) to transport everything around the house and to also pack everything away when I am ready to wrap up the work day.

Clothing

One of the benefits of working from home is the ability to wear pretty much anything you like. With that being said it's still important to be comfortable and for some office cultures it might still be necessary to maintain a more dressed up appearance. I have found that the clothing created by many of the companies that are focused on durable and versatile travel clothing also work great for staying at home. Below I have included some of my favorites.
  • Bluffworks Threshold T-Shirt
  • Western Rise AirLight Button-Down
  • Olivers Passage Pants
  • Duer All-Weather Denim
