Don't Overplan, Just Go

This is my biggest tip for anyone wanting to travel or do something different. So many of my friends ask on a daily basis how we travel so much and where we find the time or the money. When we explain how we pick the days we want to travel or how we find cheap flights the result is always the same: a million things they need to plan out and get into place before it's ok to go ahead with the trip. My biggest tip to them is to find a way to just go! Don't worry about finding the perfect deal on a hotel, don't worry about the possibility of a little rain, don't worry that there is a lot of work you need to be catching up on around the house, don't worry that you don't have someone to go with, and don't worry that you don't know what to do when you get to wherever you're thinking of going! Once you actually commit to purchasing a ticket or a hotel and you make that decision to go, the rest will fall into place! We live in an amazing time where we have super capable smart phones that can give us the answers to pretty much anything with just a few taps! Don't know what to do? Trip Advisor, among a million other blogs and sites, are your best friends! Don't know the language? Google translate and Duolingo are two of many free options to help you communicate! Don't have any vacation days left? Find somewhere within driving distance and take full advantage of your weekends and holidays! I know it can seem difficult or maybe just like too much effort, but it is doable and I promise it will be worth it to just get out and go! =)
