I am slightly obsessed with gadget organization and the concept of having a dedicated tech dopp kit. There are tons of options currently available that are made of all sorts of different materials, different sizes and different price ranges. It can be tricky to find a good quality organizer at a reasonable. Another issue I run into is having to carry multiple packs: one for smaller items (cables), one medium objects (headphones), and one larger objects (camera). I'm all for modular packing but this can get a little cumbersome so I was very excited when ATailorBird reached out to see if I wanted to test out their Electronics Organizer. This item seemed to not only be a good quality and offer really cool compartments to keep everything organized, but it also looked like it would allow be to simplify my carry on a daily basis. Read on to get a in in detpth look at the ATailorBird Electronics Organizer.

From organized chaos to simplicity

In the image on the left you can see the different pouches I was using to carry my daily and travel items. These are all really great quality and I have enjoyed using them, but it is a lot to manage. The pouches shown in this image include:
  • Bagsmart Cable Organizer
  • Incase Accessory Organizer
  • Padded Camera Insert
One of my favorite things about the ATailorBird Electronics Organizer is that it has allowed me to consolidate most of the items from the pouches in the previous picture into one neat little package as shown in the image on the right. This almost combines the Bagsmart organizer with the camera insert to provide something that can fit items that are both small or bulky.

A spot for everything

This organizer is made out of a durable fabric, has high quality zippers, and is pretty padded so it really feels like it is going to help keep your delicate items safe. On top of the quality of the bag, it really does have a spot for just about anything you might be carrying on a day to day basis.
The top compartment of the bag opens flat with each side of the compartment including one zippered compartment and multiple elastic bands which are great for holding items such as:
  • Charging cables
  • Computer dongles
  • Pen / Stylus
  • USB Sticks
  • Computer Mice
  • SD Cards

The bottom compartment opens flat as well and offers one smaller zippered pocket on the flap and then the bottom is a larger felt lined compartment that features three configurable and removable dividers that allow you to customize how you organize your bigger items in the bottom of the bag (and if you find you don't need to use the dividers you can take them out completely and use the space for something larger).

The bottom compartment is really where the bag stood out to me because it allowed me to store the items that i would typically have to use multiple pouches for. As shown in the images below, I was able to use the customizable dividers to store a variety of different items depending on what type of things I would be needing on a particular day / trip. Examples of items that would fit well in this compartment with or without the dividers would be:
  • Over-ear headphones
  • Mirrorless Cameras
  • Camera Lenses
  • Laptop Chargers
  • Tablets

Versatility for all types of bags

If you have been following us for a while, you know how much we love to try out new bags and that we have tons of different bags that work great for a variety of occasions. One problem with  all the bag switching is that it can be a pain to move everything from one bag to another. The ATailorBird Organizer has really helped to simplify this process by helping to keep everything in one spot and it works great with most of the backpacks and suitcases that we regularly use.

The ATailorBird Organizer comes with a very comfortable and strong handle on the top which makes it very easy to pick up and move from bag to bag. The handle is especially helpful if you are placing the organizer into a top loading backpack (as shown in the pictures above using a Hershel Pop Quiz backpack as an example) or a bag that can get very deep where you have to reach down to the bottom to grab it.
The organizer also works great with a clamshell opening backpack such as the GORUCK GR1 featured in the images below. Because both the backpack and the organizer open flat, it is very easy to place your bag on the ground, open it up, then lay the organizer open flat so you can easily see everything and grab the item you need.

Summary

Overall, I was very impressed with how useful the ATailorBird Electronics Organizer is and how it really allowed me to consolidate all the different things I might carry with me on a trip or on a daily basis into one organized package. Having something like this will help ensure I always know where all of my accessories are and it will make it really easy to switch between the many bags that I like to use in different situations. To top it all off, the organizer feels like a good quality item and can be purchased for under $20 making this a great deal.
